T-Mobile accidentally leaked two budget phones likely coming this Friday

Yesterday, we got news that Samsung accidentally leaked an image, name, and model number of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch. T-Mobile must have wanted to get in on the fun because we’ve also found accidentally-leaked info about two budget phones coming this week.

The Motorola Moto E5 Play recently landed on Verizon, Cricket, and Boost Mobile, and the Motorola Moto E5 Plus previously landed on Sprint. We had no news on the devices hitting T-Mobile, but now we do via support pages for both devices.

If you head here, you can see a T-Mobile technical support page for the Moto E5 Play, and if you head here you can see the same for the Moto E5 Plus. Both pages list the software version of each device as launching on July 27, 2018.

It doesn’t take Batman to deduce that both phones are probably coming to T-Mobile and will launch this coming Friday.

We don’t have any pricing information for the devices, but judging from price points at the other carriers, the Moto E5 Play will likely be in the $100 range while the Moto E5 Plus will likely be in the $200 – $300 range.

The launch of the Moto E5 and Moto G6 lines has been incredibly confusing, with certain variants only launching in certain countries and prices differing between both location and carrier. However, it’s likely Motorola is only anticipating buyers picking up one of these smartphones directly from their carrier in-store, so most consumers will not know just how confusing the launch really is.

There are no T-Mobile listings for the Moto E5 Play or Moto E5 Plus yet, but they will likely appear on Friday. On that date, click the button below to see if they are available to order.
