Galaxy Note 9 Leak Reveals Samsung’s Nasty Surprise

Yes, the Galaxy Note 9 has some big upgrades. In fact, Samsung’s new Note is all about size. But it turns out that perhaps the biggest of them has a nasty surprise…

Almost inevitably, the news breaks from Ice Universe. Having previously revealed the Galaxy Note 9 will be available with an industry-leading 512GB of storage. The mysterious tipster has now clarified that Samsung’s largest capacity option will only be made available in China and South Korea.

Given that Samsung will releasing the Galaxy Note 9 globally with all its other enlargements – including a massive battery, more RAM, enlarged front camera and bigger display – it seems bizarre the company would deny these same customers the chance to a) garner bragging rights over rivals, and b) pay Samsung more money for the privilege.

The good news is Samsung will retain the Galaxy Note 9’s microSD slot, but this is no substitute for the lightning fast performance of core flash storage for those with the means and desire to pay for it. Samsung has recently taken a lot of heat for the Galaxy Note 9’s conservative design, so this latest news is likely to be interpreted as the company again playing things too safe.

That said, we won’t have to wait long for the Galaxy Note 9’s release date and with Samsung set to shake up the smartphone market with a truly radical phone next year (at an equally mindblowing price), the same complaints will be labelled at it in 2019…
