U.S. stock index futures gave up early gains late Sunday as the Dow and S&P 500 look to notch a fourth straight week of gains as earnings season kicks into gear.
As of midnight Eastern, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YM00, -0.04% which has risen about 75 points soon after the overnight session began, were down 60 points, or 0.2%, while S&P 500 futures ES00, -0.11% and Nasdaq-100 futures NQ00, -0.12% were down about the same percentage.
Stocks closed with modest gains Friday, as the Dow and S&P 500 ended with weekly gains for a third consecutive week.
The Dow DJIA, -0.23% finished the week 2.3% higher, the S&P 500 SPX, +0.28% booked a gain of 1.3%, while the Nasdaq COMP, +0.28% lost 1.1%.
A number of prominent companies are set to release quarterly earnings this week, including Tesla TSLA, +0.01%, Microsoft MSFT, -0.51%, Intel INTC, +1.45% and United Airlines UAL, -1.65%.
