G7, the cab company in Europe, is expanding how many payments its French taxi drivers can accept to enhance the travel experience for visitors. Partnering with Alipay+, a suite of cross-border mobile payments and digitalization technology solutions, visitors can now pay for taxis directly using one of 15 international e-wallets.
International passengers, especially those from Asia, can now pay on board using their preferred home e-wallet via Alipay+. Customers will be able to pay directly via their mobile device, by scanning the QR code generated on in-vehicle payment terminals provided by G7.
Pietro Candela, general manager of Europe at Alipay+ commented: “The partnership between Alipay+ and G7 represents a significant step in the path towards expanding our offerings for global travelers coming to France and enhancing the tourism experience. During peak season, we saw growth in international tourism this summer and thanks to this latest collaboration, taxi drivers will enjoy new benefits by attracting new customers with convenient and familiar payment methods.”
Nicolas Riegert, CEO and co-founder of PayXpert stated: “By integrating Alipay+ in G7 taxis, we are not only expanding payment options but also enhancing the overall travel experience for international tourists. This initiative also shows how our agility can ensure a smooth deployment even on large-scale projects, benefiting both G7 and their esteemed customers.”

Yann Ricordel, deputy managing director, G7 said: “Activating the Alipay+ solution is part of our ongoing drive to improve the customer experience on board our cabs and meet the needs of all our passengers, such as Asian travelers accustomed to paying by simply scanning a QR Code generated on the drivers’ payment terminals.”
