Saving money on ‘everyday purchases & subscription services’

Finishing off its series of money-saving tips, the NYS Division of Consumer Protection is offering up ways for New Yorkers to save on “everyday purchases and subscription services”. The first full week of March is also National Consumer Protection Week, DCP said. This last round of tips deals with practicing smart shopping in the store (like price matching and comparing prices) and reviewing what kind of memberships you’re signed up for. “Inflation and rising costs are affecting New Yorkers in every corner of the state, leading consumers to change their spending habits and use different strategies to save money,” said NYS Secretary of State Robert J. Rodriguez. “This National Consumer Protection Week, our Division of Consumer Protection is educating consumers about the simple steps they can take in their everyday lives to manage their finances and save more of their hard-earned money.” Below are DCP’s tips to save on regular shopping costs and memberships.
